Royal Road?

A new friend suggested I post my story on this Royal Road site and possibly a few others. I'm going to give it a try, I guess. I've always hated sites like these because they typically restrict a lot of the freedoms of just simply writing into a document and not worrying about some set of arbitrary rules. For example, as I made my first post, they refused to allow anyone to select more than 4 genres, despite my story very clearly falling under many genres in different areas. In fact, I make a point of changing the genre somewhat depending on which character is the main focus of the chapter. Ecko's story is very much drama and tragedy focused, Moka's stories are more about romance and adventure, Kino's stories are about brotherhood, friendships, and betrayal, and Hikari's stories are about struggle, sacrifice, survival, and adapting. There are even some characters who have chapters that read more like horror stories, science fiction, military, ambiance, or mystery.

Regardless, I'm giving it a try. If I gain new readers, that's great, if I don't, then I'll just go back to doing things my way.
